The defence in three questions
Most conventional speeding defences come down to three.
The most effective defence in a conventional speeding trial is rarely the most complicated one. It is usually built from three straightforward questions:
- Was the officer properly qualified on this specific device?
- Was the device properly tested before and after use, with specific results recorded?
- Can the officer tell the court today — from specific recollection, not routine — what those results actually were?
When the answers are incomplete, reasonable doubt often follows naturally.
